The
Laverda model illustrated is a SF and it was the first one ever
imported into the UK to the Slater brothers home at Chaddesley
Corbett in Worcestershire, the brothers original base. The SF
was sold to a local lad who enjoyed its ownership for many years
and who recently visited the garage at Collington to reminisce.

This
motorcycle was built in small numbers for the connoisseur
and everything was to a very high standard. The SF was
imported in kit form to avoid paying purchase tax in order
to keep the price, of this then exotic superbike, within
the grasp of someone wishing to trade up from lesser marques.
The price of the kit form was £685. |
Please revisit Motorcycles as we will regularly refresh the
page with details of motorcycles from different eras, motorcycles
for sale, racing history and features which we hope will interest
the Laverda enthusiast.
